Winter Storm Watch
Winter Storm Watch in effect from Monday afternoon through
Tuesday morning...
The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has
issued a Winter Storm Watch... which is in effect from Monday
afternoon through Tuesday morning.
* Timing... snowfall may begin as early as Monday morning and increase
in intensity by Monday afternoon and evening. The heaviest snowfall
is expected Monday evening into early Tuesday morning. The snow is
expected to gradually diminish by midday Tuesday.
* Snow accumulations... there is the potential for total snowfall
accumulations of 6 to 10 inches... with locally higher
amounts... within the watch area.
* Impacts... strong northerly winds up to 30 mph combined with
moderate to heavy snowfall will result in limited visibility and
area roads becoming snowpacked... producing hazardous travel
conditions.
