The National Weather Service has forecasted another major winter storm for the metro area. Snow accumulations up to 12 inches are possible over the next 24-36 hours with gusty winds causing blizzard like conditions. Travel during these conditions can become dangerous, please use extreme caution if you need to be out in the storm.

The North Kansas City Public Works Department request that all cars parked on the street be moved to driveways or garages, if possible, to facilitate snow removal efforts. Crews will begin plowing as soon as accumulation reaches 1" and continue the removal effort throughout the storm. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Any vehicles left abandonded in a traffic lane will be towed at the owners expense.
