Residential roadways are nearly impassable. Plows have hit 4th Avenue and along 23rd Street. The hill at Kimbrough Stadium is clear. TxDot is working on I-27 at a furriest pace. I-27 is snow packed just north of the intersection of I-27 and US 87 at the north city limits. Roads are snow and ice covered going NB into Amarillo. Travel is possible as long as you go slowly. I have no update on the roads in Amarillo. The City of Canyon has plowed around the schools in Canyon. There are large piles of snow next to the roads. No curb parking is available around the schools. Please do not leave your car in the middle of the road or unattended around the public schools. Police are asking that you drop off your kids at school and clear the lane of traffic as soon as possible. These roads should begin to thaw slowly with the clear sky we are currently seeing.
