HEAVY SNOW HAS ENDED ACROSS THE REGION. ADDITIONAL LIGHT SNOW IS POSSIBLE TONIGHT WITH ANOTHER WEAKER STORM SYSTEM.

HEAVY SNOW HAS ENDED ACROSS THE REGION BUT ADDITIONAL LIGHT SNOW AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE TONIGHT WITH ANOTHER WEAKER STORM SYSTEM.

THE STRONG STORM SYSTEM THAT BROUGHT HEAVY SNOW TO THE REGION HAS WEAKENED THROUGH EARLY THIS AFTERNOON ENDING THE THREAT OF SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS. HOWEVER A SECONDARY WEAKER SYSTEM WILL IMPACT THE REGION TONIGHT AND BRING A BROAD AREA OF 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW TO THE REGION. AS A RESULT A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED THAT REPLACES THE WINTER STORM WARNINGS THAT WERE IN EFFECT.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST WEDNESDAY.WINTER STORM WARNING IS CANCELLED.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN KANSAS CITY/PLEASANT HILL HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST WEDNESDAY. THE WINTER STORM WARNING HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

+TIMING LIGHT TO AT TIMES MODERATE SNOW WILL INCREASE IN COVERAGE LATE THIS EVENING AND PERSIST THROUGH MID WEDNESDAY MORNING.

*SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...LIGHT TO AT TIMES MODERATE SNOW WILL SPREAD ACROSS THE REGION BRINGING ANOTHER 1 TO AS MUCH AS 3 INCHES OF NEW SNOW ACCUMULATION.

*IMPACTS.THE LIGHT SNOW WILL LIKELY CAUSE ADDITIONAL TRAVEL IMPACTS ACROSS THE REGION WEDNESDAY MORNING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
