Johnsburg Area Winter Storm (Travel Warning)

The police department has answered multiple reports for stranded motorists due to this winter storm in the past 2 hours. Please consider not traveling unless absolutely necessary.

• CURRENT CONDITIONS -SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY ROADS IN OUR AREA

• THE CURRENT STRONG WINTER STORM IS PRODUCING HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS

• SNOW CONTINUES TO FALL ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA

• THE SNOW HAS BEEN HEAVY AT TIMES WITH VISIBILITY FALLING TO AROUND 1/4 MILE

• SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE AREA INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING

• SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...COULD REACH 5 TO 8 INCHES

• IMPACTS...TRAVEL IS HAZARDOUS DUE TO SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.

If you must travel and do become stranded, stay with your vehicle, activate your hazard lights and call 911. Be aware emergency responders may have difficulty reaching you.
