Work crews that were doing excavation work in the 5300 block of Second Avenue spotted what they believed to be a body in a creek bed. It appeared a tree may have fallen on top of the complainant. Investigators have identified the individual as Vashana Eugene Mims B/M/12-19-76. This incident will be listed as an unexplained death pending a ruling from the ME's office. On February 5, 2013 there was a missing persons report made on the victim that was recorded on Case Number 31523-A.
Next of kin has been notified. The unexplained death is documented on Case #47416-A.
