Kidnapping in Moreno Valley
On Friday, March 1, 2013, about 7:30 p.m., a female victim was driving her vehicle on Gernert Road, in the unincorporated area of Moreno Valley. The victim stopped her vehicle and an unknown male suspect entered the vehicle. The suspect forced the victim to drive to a remote area near the intersection of Two Trees Road and Galaxy Heights Road, in the unincorporated area of Riverside. Once at their destination, the victim managed to flee and escape.
Police officers from the Moreno Valley Police Department, Riverside Police Department, and University of California, Riverside, responded to the location. An extensive search was done; however, the suspect was not located.
The suspect is described as a male adult, about 5'10", heavy build, wearing dark clothing and a mask.
There is a possibility someone may have seen him or a suspicious vehicle before in either area. The Moreno Valley Police Department is asking anyone with additional information about this case to contact Detective Stites at (951)486-6700 or (951)247-8700.
The Moreno Valley Police Department has a "Zero Tolerance" policy toward criminal activity and will be vigilant in investigating all crimes. The Police Department encourages citizens and business owners to report any criminal activity.
