Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting that occurred Saturday, March 2, 2013, at approximately 3:30 AM, and resulted in the death of a 26 year-old Hispanic man in the 3800 block of East 52nd Street, Maywood.
Investigators have learned that the victim was shot one time in the upper torso while in the rear yard of the location where he lives. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Identification of the victim will not released at this time, pending next of kin notification.
There is no suspect information or vehicle information at this time.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
