CDS ARRESTS GLEN BURNIE
On March 2, 2013, at approximately 2:13 a.m., officers from the Northern District midnight shift were on patrol near Nolpark Drive in Glen Burnie when they observed a female subject acting in a suspicious manner, attempting to flag down cars.
The female walked over and got into the passenger seat of a 2007 Dodge Avenger. The vehicle was occupied by a male driver and began traveling towards Crain Highway. The Dodge was stopped for a traffic violation and an odor of suspected marijuana was detected coming from driver. The driver exited the vehicle and was placed into custody after it was determined that he had marijuana in his possession. A search by officers revealed 13.3 grams of suspected marijuana packaged for distribution, a scale, $690.00 in U.S. currency and a loaded 9mm Rugar handgun. The female passenger was determined to have an open warrant. Additionally, 21.2 grams of suspected marijuana was discovered in her possession. Both suspects were arrested and transported to Northern District for processing.
