Snow/Rain
Heavier precipitation is trending south and east of Westchester County. Expect a prolonged period of light to moderate snowfall late Wednesday in to Wednesday Night with periods of snow throughout Thursday and Friday. Large accumulations are not expected. High forecast confidence in the 2-3" range by Thursday morning. An additional 1” of snow is forecast for Thursday. An additional 2” inches is possible Thursday night in to Friday, with potential for an additional 1” on Friday. Rainfall is not expected to be an issue, but rain/snow mix is possible during daytime hours. Temperatures at night may drop below freezing and may result in icing conditions. Winter Weather Advisory has been posted.
Winds
Coastal Connecticut/Westchester County will see the potential for high winds late Wednesday through Thursday. Winds of 25-35 mph sustained and gusts to 50 mph along the coast. Winds of 20-25 mph sustained and gusts to 40 mph inland. Wind Advisory has been posted (southern Westchester).
