On the evening of Friday, March 8, 2013 at 8:00PM, deputies from San Dimas Sheriff’s Station responded to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call in the 17800 block of Laxford Road, unincorporated Azusa.
Deputies entered the location and, after a brief struggle, took the suspect into custody. The suspect was later identified as 25 year-old Jorge Cornejo of Azusa.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Suspect Cornejo allegedly attacked friends and family while he was visiting at the location. Suspect Cornejo was alleged to have struck a 6 year-old boy in his face and body, causing minor injuries. He then was alleged to have stabbed a 17 year-old in her leg.
Both victims were transported to a hospital and treated for their injuries.

A knife believed to been used by Suspect Cornejo during the assault, was recovered at the scene.
