Update: Regarding Sexual Assaults on the North East Patrol Division

On March 15, 2013, at approximately 10:00 p.m., an unknown suspect entered a residence, (home), located on Ferndale Road and sexually assaulted the female occupant.
Suspect Description: L/M/20s, 5’8”, Rounded Chubby Face, Short Buzz Cut, Clean Shaven, spoke English with Spanish accent, wearing gray shorts and jacket.
On February 22, 2013, a similar sexual assault offense occurred on the same street. It is unknown at this time if these two offenses were committed by the same suspect. Detectives are reviewing both cases and comparing forensic evidence. The suspect descriptions are not the same.
Suspect Description, B/M/35, 5’10, 180 lbs, bald or short hair, African accent
On March 1st, DPD officers arrested Fernando Munoz, for three outstanding felony warrants and for a 2008 Dallas Burglary offense with intent to commit a sexual act. This suspect has also been linked to a 2010 Dallas Sexual Assault offense by DNA and he has been charged with that offense. At this time Munoz is considered a strong suspect in the February 22nd offense. Detectives are awaiting forensic evidence analysis to determine a match to Munoz. Munoz is still detained in the Dallas County Jail.
