During the early morning hours on 01-09-13, AEPD units were contacted by DeKalb County PD units in reference to a pedestrian robbery.
AEPD officers were advised that a female victim had been robbed at gunpoint in the Juvenile Justice Center parking lot (Covington Highway). Investigation revealed that at approximately 05:10AM, the victim was approached by two black male suspects as she was walking to the MARTA Station to go to work. Suspects brandished what appeared to be a .38 cal. revolver.
Investigation revealed that the suspects were described as:
(2) Black males, approximately 5'6" tall and 150 pounds, being 18-19 years of age. One suspect was wearing a red bandanna, brown hoddie style jacket and army fatigue pants. Second suspect wearring navy colored blue jeans.
The victim was uninjured during the incident. Investigation continues by AEPD CID unit. Anyone having possible information related to the incident is requested to contact Inv. Tom Gillis at (404) 391-4526.

After a detailed investigation by AEPD it was revealed that the alleged "Pedestrian Robbery" incident, reported on 01-09-2013, was unfounded and the case has been terminated.
