Alleged Graffiti Vandal Arrested in Lennox

South Los Angeles Station detectives arrested 19 year old Lennox resident Luis Daniel Jimenez at his home early this morning after identifying him as the suspect believed to be responsible for vandalizing several Lennox area businesses last month.

Detectives believe Vargas, a self admitted gang member who is on probation for a similar incident, spray painted gang graffiti on the exterior walls of numerous buildings along Hawthorne Boulevard north of the 105 freeway with the sole purpose of glorifying himself and his gang. According to Detective John Sanchez, Vargas’ alleged acts of vandalism caused several thousand dollars worth of damage to private businesses as well as public property.

Vargas’ arrest exemplifies South Los Angeles Station’s unwavering commitment to aggressively pursue anyone who commits acts of vandalism, especially those who use graffiti to intimidate and/or terrorize other members the community.

Vargas was booked at South Los Angeles Station for felony vandalism. His bail was set at $20,000.00.

Anyone with additional information about this incident is urged to contact Detective John Sanchez at (323) 820-6700.
