Winter Storm Warning from 3/23/2013 7:00 PM to 3/24/2013 7:00 PM CDT for 64089.

The forecast remains on track bring a major late season winter storm to the region later this afternoon and through Sunday. The latest data suggests a rain/snow mixture to begin by the middle to late afternoon hours, with a progressive changeover to moderate or even heavy snow overnight.

Total accumulations between 6" and 8" will be possible with the potential for upwards of 8-10" in portions of central Missouri by Sunday afternoon. This snow has the potential to be very wet and heavy and could lead to minor power outages if significant accumulations fall on top of wet surfaces from afternoon rain.
