On March 26th at approximately 5:00 pm Huron Township Officers were called out to Will Carleton road near Brandes road due to a report of a dead body being located in the ditch. A truck driver had seen the deceased and called it in.
Huron Officers arrived and started an investigation into a deceased white male in the north side ditch.
Less then 24 hours earlier and only a few miles away in Ash Twp, a females body had been recovered. Michigan State Police investigated the Ash Twp. case and had determined it was a homicide originating in Flint Mi.
Due to the time and distance to the females body, Michigan State Police Initially believed this incident may be related and requested to be able to conduct the investigation. Huron Township Police turned over the investigation to Michigan State Police.
After their investigation, Michigan State Police have determined the Males body from Will-Carleton Rd was not involved in the Ash Twp incident. No further information is available at this time out of respect for the family, and the Michigan State Police investigation
