K9's search Warsaw Communty High School for Drugs
On Thursday morning, March 28, 2013 the Warsaw Police Department and the Warsaw Community School system coordinated a random K-9 drug search at Warsaw Community High School. Police narcotic K-9’s were used to sniff lockers, classrooms and vehicles on the school campus.
The police K-9’s alerted on two vehicles in the school parking lot. A subsequent search revealed illegal activity in the vehicles. Both of the vehicles contained marijuana and paraphernalia. The students are facing criminal charges of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
Assisting the Warsaw Police K-9 unit were: Warsaw Police School Resource Officers, Winona Lake Police, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and the Indiana State Police. The Warsaw Police Department continues to work closely with Warsaw Community Schools to provide a safe and drug free atmosphere for learning.
