THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHWEST...NORTH CENTRAL AND WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI...AS WELL AS EXTREME EASTERN KANSAS.
.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT
A STRONG COLD FRONT EXTENDED FROM THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF MISSOURI BACK INTO CENTRAL KANSAS EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ALONG AND BEHIND THIS FRONT AS IT MOVES SOUTHEAST INTO EASTERN KANSAS AND NORTHWEST MISSOURI THIS EVENING...WITH ACTIVITY SPREADING SLOWLY EASTWARD OVERNIGHT.

A VERY SMALL THREAT FOR DAMAGING WINDS EXISTS WITH ANY STORMS THAT CAN DEVELOP IMMEDIATELY ALONG THE COLD FRONT EARLY THIS EVENING.
OF GREATER CONCERN...SEVERAL ROUNDS OF RAINFALL TONIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MAY LEAD TO LOCAL FLOODING ISSUES ON AREA RIVERS AND STREAMS.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY
ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS WITH LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE THROUGH WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED.
WITH THE PASSAGE OF THE COLD FRONT...TEMPERATURES WILL FALL SHARPLY THROUGH THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. READINGS MAY DROP BELOW FREEZING FOR AN HOUR OR TWO BOTH FRIDAY AND SATURDAY MORNINGS...BUT A HARD FREEZE IS PRESENTLY NOT ANTICIPATED. PERSONS SHOULD NEVERTHELESS PROTECT TENDER VEGETATION.
A CHANCE FOR A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WILL RETURN FOR SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. STRONG STORMS ARE PRESENTLY NOT ANTICIPATED.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS POSSIBLE THIS EVENING...MAINLY ACROSS EASTERN KANSAS AND FAR WESTERN MISSOURI...INCLUDING THE GREATER KANSAS CITY AREA.
