Clallam Co. Alert System Aids in Capture of Felon
Port Angeles, WA - Friday, 4-12-13 –
On Thursday, 4-11-13 at 7:30 p.m. law enforcement responded to the area of Ripplebrook Drive off Deer Park Rd. in response to a report of a stabbing. On their arrival, the officers found the resident at the address, Douglas Baker, 60 years old, with multiple stab wounds.
Indications are that Mr. Baker was assaulted after an argument with 21 year old Nikolai Logan who resides with the Baker family. Baker was transported to Olympic Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.
The new Clallam Co. Alert System was used to send a message to residents surrounding the crime scene and calls began to come in to the 911 center just after the message was sent aiding in the suspect’s quick arrest.
