MAN DIES AT THE HAMPTON INN IN FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III is announcing that a construction worker living at the Hampton Inn in Franklin Township died Tuesday in his room.
On April 9th, at 7:27am, Franklin Township Police, Clinton Rescue Squad, and paramedics from Hunterdon Medical Center were dispatched to the Hampton Inn for an unconscious male. Dispatchers at Hunterdon County Communications began giving C.P.R. instructions to the victim’s brother over the phone while emergency units were enroute.
According to Prosecutor Kearns, “Richard B. Tilton, age 29, of Kinston, North Carolina was transported to the Hunterdon Medical Center Emergency Room where he was pronounced dead. There appeared to be no immediate signs of foul play; however evidence at the scene indicated that the victim’s death may be related to possible Heroin use.”
An autopsy was conducted with a determination of cause and manner of death pending along with toxicology reports. The death is being investigated by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Major crimes Unit.
