FLEMINGTON ROAD RAGE INCIDENT RESULTS IN STABBING
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III and Flemington Borough Police Chief George Becker announce the arrest of one individual as a result of a road rage incident in Flemington today, April 16, 2013.
Arrested was David S. Gibson, age 53, of Raritan Township. He was charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Possessionof a Weapon, Criminal Mischief, and Disorderly Conduct.
According to Prosecutor Kearns, “Our preliminary investigation indicates that Mr. Gibson’s vehicle may have been cut off by another vehicle at the intersection of Church Street and Broad Street. When the two vehicles approached the next intersection at Main Street, Mr. Gibson exited his vehicle and approached the vehicle that allegedly cut him off. Mr. Gibson allegedly broke out the driver’s window at which time the victim exited his vehicle and was stabbed resulting in a minor puncture wound. The victim was treated at Hunterdon Medical Center.”
The Honorable Eric Perkins, J.M.C. set bail for Mr. Gibson at $10,000 and he was lodged at the Hunterdon County Jail.
