Riley FD reminds motorists to refrain from driving through flooded roadways.
Riley Fire Department would like to remind motorist to refrain from attempting to drive through flooded roadways. At 0309am today Riley Fire Department and Sugar Creek Fire Department's water rescue team were called to Eastwind Drive 3 miles South of Riley for a vehicle stalled in high water. Sugar Creekâs water rescue personnel were able to rescue two adults and one K-9 from the vehicle which became stalled in three feet of flood water moving across Eastwind Drive caused by recent heavy rain. The occupants were attempting to drive through a flooded portion of Eastwind Drive just East of Louisville Road while delivering newspapers. No one was injured and Riley FD personnel transported the occupants and the K-9 back to their home in Southern Vigo County.
