National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day (April 27, 2013) 
The Hamburg Township Police Department will again be participating in Prescription Drug Take-Back Day which is a nationwide program spearheaded by the federal Drug Enforcement Administration. Prescription and over-the-counter drugs that are no longer needed or wanted can be brought to the Hamburg Township Police station, located at 10409 Merrill Road, between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 27, 2013.
An officer specially trained in drug enforcement will be present to accept all medications and answer any questions concerning drugs. All drugs which are collected will be placed in collection boxes and properly destroyed by police officers. This service is free and anonymous.
Prescription and over-the-counter drugs can also be anonymously deposited in Hamburg Township’s Red Barrel located outside the front doors of the police station.
