Police Arrest Man for Obstruction
HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – April 23, 2013– On April 22, 2013 about 12:30 PM Hollister Police Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Buena Vista Road for a disturbance. An adult male, identified as Ubaldo Deleon (34) was arrested after he refused to leave a woman’s residence and then fought police officers.
The victim reported the suspect, whom she did not know, was asked several times by the victim to leave the residence, but he refused. The suspect became agitated and locked himself in a small shed on the victim’s property. Fearing for her safety the victim retreated into her house and called the police.
Hollister police officers attempted to talk the suspect into leaving the shed but he continued to refuse. Officers eventually gained entry into the shed to remove the suspect; a violent struggle ensued. As the suspect continued to resist and struggle, officers were forced to use both pepper spray and as the struggle continued a TASER was used. Deleon continued to struggle until officers were able to place him into custody.
Deleon had a warrant and was charged with 243(c)(2) P.C., battery on a police officer, 148(a)(1) P.C., resist or obstruct a police officer, and a felony probation violation. He is being held on $21,000 bail.
