SHOOTING / ATTEMPTED MURDER BROOKLYN PARK
On April 25, 2013, at approximately 9:28 p.m., officers from Northern District responded to the area of 4th Street and Orchard Avenue in Brooklyn Park for the report of a possible shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located the 24-year-old male victim on the ground suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with possible life threatening injuries. Initial investigation reveals that an encounter took place between the victim and suspects, resulting in the victim being shot. At this time, detectives believe this was a targeted incident and not a random act of violence. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle described as possibly being a dark-colored Ford Ranger style pick up truck. The investigation is active and ongoing.
