White Panel Van Approaching Children-Franklin Park Police Advisory. Instruct your children to call 911
Good afternoon,
This advisory is not because this is happening in Bensenville. Sgt. Zodrow stated he wanted parents, students, and all our crime prevention groups to be aware of this case.
On Tuesday April 30, 2013 at approximately 0700 hrs a male Hispanic driving a white panel van stopped alongside a 14 year old male that was walking to school and asked the child if he wanted a ride. The van is described as being white colored with windows only on the drivers and passenger doors.
The driver is described as a male Hispanic in his mid to late 30's with a thin mustache. There was also a similar report involving this vehicle and suspect in September of 2012. Any agencies with similar reports of this vehicle attempting to lure children please call 9-1-1.
