On the evening of Saturday May 4, 2013, Century Station deputies responded to the 2400 block of El Segundo Boulevard in the Willowbrook area regarding a family disturbance. During the disturbance, the suspect allegedly came out of his apartment wielding a handgun.
Upon their arrival, deputies detained the suspect and contacted his mother. The mother of the suspect indicated that her son had been living there at the location for about a year and authorized deputies to look inside her home for the gun that the suspect was allegedly wielding. The suspect had told the deputies that he had a gun which he kept in a secret location.
While searching the home for the gun, deputies located the gun where the suspect had indicated it would be in addition to a second gun. A records check of the second gun revealed that it had been reported stolen out of Riverside County.
A criminal history check of the suspect revealed that he had a prior arrest and conviction for sales of narcotics in 2007. The suspect was subsequently arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.
