Sheriff's Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man and the wounding of a female adult.

Detectives have learned that on Thursday, 05-09-13 at approximately 4:09 pm, deputies responded to the 1200 block of East 126th Street in the unincorporated area of Willowbrook, in response to a call of a "Gunshot victim." When deputies arrived, they discovered a 20 year-old male black victim sitting in the driver's seat of a car which was parked in front of the location. He was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. They also located a 20 year-old female black victim nearby. She was suffering from a single gunshot wound to her right arm. Both victims were transported to a local hospital where the male victim was pronounced dead. The female was treated and is expected to survive.

According to the female victim, she and the male victim were sitting in her parked car when two individuals drove up and stopped. One suspect exited the black colored SUV and started shooting into the passenger side of the victim's car. He then got back into the SUV and drove away.

Investigators from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Homicide Bureau responded to the 1200 block of East 126th Street, unincorporated Los Angeles, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man and the wounding of a woman.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital. The male was pronounced dead and the female's condition is unknown.
