Nineteen firefighters from the City of Folsom and the Sacramento Metropolitian Fire District responded to a reported house fire in the 400 block of Williams Street in Folsom this afternoon. Upon their arrival they discovered a fire on the exterior of the residence. The fire had spread into the interior section of the outside wall of the home and quickly traveled to the second floor of the residence before firefighters were able to control it. One occupant was home at the time of the fire. Six residents of the home have been displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross this evening. Fire damage is estimated at approximately $25,000. No injuries were reported from the fire. The fire cause is still under investigation.
