HOUSE FIRE IN FLEMINGTON BEING INVESTIGATED
Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of Detectives John Kuczynski and Flemington Police Chief George Becker are announcing that a working house fire is currently ongoing at 19 Church Street in Flemington Borough. Volunteer firefighters from several area fire companies were involved with the fire suppression operation. The occupants of the house, a mother and her two young children escaped safely and were taken to Hunterdon Medical Center for evaluation.
According to Chief Kuczynski, “Investigators from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Arson Investigation Unit and the Hunterdon County Arson Task Force are on scene conducting a preliminary investigation. At this time, the fire does not appear suspicious, but the investigation is ongoing.”
The Hunterdon County Arson Task Force is comprised of specially trained police officers, volunteer firefighters, as well as HCPO Detectives that respond and investigate all major fires in the county.
