EAPD will be one of hundreds of law enforcement agencies participating in the statewide Buckle Up New York campaign starting May 20. Officers will be out on special enforcement details throughout the town and village over the coming weeks. Keep in mind that according to NYS Dept. of Health statistics unrestrained motorists involved in a crash are 3 times more likely to suffer a traumatic brain injury as compared to those wearing a seatbelt. Also in 2010 every month an average of 36 motorists in Erie County who did not wear a seatbelt were injured to the point of requiring hospital treatment. So remember to "Click It or Ticket"
