Full Notification

The River Vale Police Department is changing providers for its telephone Emergency Community Notification System. Our new provider, Global Connect, will allow us to use contact residents via phone, cell or email. Our phone database for all listed business and residential lines is updated by Verizon several times throughout the year. If you maintain multiple lines and do not want notifications to each line (or want to opt-out of all notifications) please email your request to [email protected] with the subject line RemoveGC. In the text field please list your last name, address and phone number(s) to place on the do-not-call list.

Should your primary phone number be unlisted or is a non Verizon number you must register with Global Connect to receive emergency notifications to your phone. Also, any cell phone numbers previously programmed into the Swiftreach system (or cell phones you would like to receive notifications on) will need to be registered with the Global Connect system. Registration is available at www.rivervalenj.org. The previously registered Swiftreach cell numbers will be purged from our system effective 6/16/2013. Registration with Global Connect is free and will allow you to maintain your account and update information as needed.

A test of all listed residential verizon phone numbers will be conducted this evening at 7pm.

There will be a special message sent tomorrow (Thursday) at 7pm to all cell phones, non verizon and unlisted numbers previously registered to the old system.
