Bicyclist fatally struck by a hit and run vehicle in Van Nuys
Van Nuys: On Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at approximately 11:30 pm a bicyclist was riding westbound Roscoe Boulevard east of Balboa Boulevard when he was struck by a hit and run driver. The bicyclist was seriously injured and was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. The bicyclist has been identified as Max De La Cruz, 44 years old, a resident of Van Nuys.
The hit and run vehicle was described as a white truck, possibly a Chevrolet or GMC, with cargo in the bed with possible collision damage to the front end.
