A 19 year old was arrested by Santa Monica College PD in connection with phone threats at East LA College and Santa Monica College this morning.
Traffic conditions will soon return to normal. The campus is off lockdown.

Update:
At 7:55am,Thursday, a caller told the California Highway Patrol that the caller had a gun and was en route to a campus in the Monterey Park area believed to possibly be East LA College, however the caller did not specify East LA College.
It was a phone call only.
For the safety of the public, LASD Community College Bureau and LASD East LA Sheriff's Station deputies have evacuated the East LA College Campus and are searching the entire campus.
East LA College is one of the 9 campuses of the LA Community College District and is policed by the LA County Sheriff's Dept. under contract.
Monterey Park PD is also checking all school campuses in Monetery Park.

East Los Angeles Community College Evacuated as a Precautionary Measure
At approximately 7:55 AM this morning, California Highway Patrol personnel received a telephone threat from a caller who said that he had a gun and was en route to a school campus in Monterey Park.
The East Los Angeles Community College, as a precautionary measure, is being evacuated by personnel from Sheriff’s Community College Bureau with the assistance of East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station.
At this time no armed suspect has not been sighted.
Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call 9-1-1.
