Crofton & Gambrills residential burglary suspects dressed as utility workers...
Residential Burglaries Gambrills/Crofton
The Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Western District Detective Unit is currently investigating several burglaries that occurred during the month of May. The investigation is on-going at this time, but it appears as though the burglaries occurred between the hours of 9:00 a.m and 3:00 pm.
During each of the incidents, two black male suspects, wearing reflective safety vests and carrying clip boards, were seen walking in the area, knocking on doors. When one of the homeowners answered the door, the two black males advised they were with a utility company and would be doing work in the area.
In a second incident, the suspects were observed knocking on a front door, then walking to the rear of that residence. The witness reported that they did not see the suspects come back from the rear of the house. When the homeowner arrived home later that day, they reported a burglary to their residence. Entry was gained by forcing a door open and once inside, personal property was taken.
In each of the incidents, the suspects were seen operating a gray or silver sedan. The burglaries occurred on the following streets:
2800 block of Carver Road, Crofton
1700 block of Saddle Drive, Gambrills
200 block of Arabian Court, Gambrills
Residents are asked to be on the lookout in the community for suspicious vehicles and persons and are asked to call 911 immediately to report any suspicious activity. If you have information about any of the above incidents, you are asked to contact Detective J. Hardesty at 410-222-6155.
