Robbery Arrests

On Friday, May 24, 2013, members of the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Western District Detective Unit along with the Special Operations Division executed three search and seizure warrants in the Severn area in reference to multiple armed robberies that have occurred in recent weeks. The warrants were executed at the following addresses:

1982 Arwell Court
8557 Pioneer Drive
8172 Meade Village Road #202

Upon execution of the warrant at 1982 Arwell Court, Detectives located property that was taken during one of the robberies. During that robbery, two victims were walking in the area of Pioneer Drive and Indian Drive at approximately 0700 hrs on 05/21/13, when they were approached by a black male suspect. The suspect was armed with a handgun and demanded property from the victims. Taken from the victims and recovered inside the residence was a cell phone and basketball shoes. Also located inside the residence was the suspect that was positively identified as the suspect in the above mentioned robbery as well as an armed robbery that occurred on 05/13/13 at Charter Oaks Road. He was subsequently arrested and transported to Western District for processing.

Upon execution of the search warrant at 8557 Pioneer Drive, Detectives recovered a cell phone that was taken from a victim during an armed robbery that occurred on 05/13/13. During that robbery, the victims were walking in the area of Charter Oaks Road and Town Center Blvd at approximately 1930 hrs, when they were robbed at gunpoint by three black males. After the robbery, the suspects fled the scene in a dark blue four door sedan. The cell phone that was recovered inside the residence was positively identified as belonging to one of the victims. The suspect in the robbery was located inside the residence as well and was arrested and transported to Western District for processing.

During the execution of the search warrant at 8172 Meade Village Road #202, Detectives located a suspect that was positively identified as one of the suspects in the robbery that occurred on 05/13/13 at Charter Oaks Road. He was subsequently arrested and transported to Western District for processing.

1. 5 counts of felony armed robbery with a deadly weapon
2. 2 counts of use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence
3. 3 counts of reckless endangerment
4. 2 counts of 1st degree assault
5. 2 counts of unlawful transport of a handgun
6. 2 counts of 1st degree assault
7. 2 counts of reckless endangerment
8. Knowingly obliterating a manufacturers identification number on a firearm

Charges:
1. 3 counts of felony armed robbery with a deadly weapon
2. Use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence
3. 3 counts of reckless endangerment
4. Unlawful transport of a handgun
5. 3 counts of 1st degree assault

Charges:
1. 3 counts of felony armed robbery with a dangerous weapon
2. Use of a handgun in the commission of a crime of violence
3. 3 counts of reckless endangerment
