Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man that occurred Saturday, May 25, 2013, at approximately 11:16 PM.

Investigators have learned that deputies responded to the 4200 block of East 1st Street, East Los Angeles, where the victim, a 24-year-old male, was shot once in the upper torso by an unknown suspect.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There is no additional information available at this time.
