THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TOPEKA HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND
NORTHEAST KANSAS...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN NORTH
CENTRAL KANSAS...CLAY...CLOUD...OTTAWA...REPUBLIC AND
WASHINGTON. IN NORTHEAST KANSAS...BROWN...JACKSON...MARSHALL...
NEMAHA...POTTAWATOMIE AND RILEY.

* FROM 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON

* THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT THE AREA TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY. THE
POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR EXCESSIVE RAINS OF 2 INCHES OR MORE ACROSS
THE AREA.

* RAINFALL OF 2 INCHES OR MORE WILL LEAD TO ADDITIONAL FLOODING OF
CREEKS AND STREAMS AND COULD INUNDATE LOW WATER AREAS...FIELDS
AND PASTURES. TORRENTIAL RAINS WITHIN THUNDERSTORMS COULD CAUSE
FLASH FLOODING OF URBAN AREAS CAUSING STREETS TO BECOME
IMPASSABLE AND DANGEROUS.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLASH FLOODING IS POSSIBLE BUT NOT
IMMINENT IN THE WATCH AREA. PERSONS IN THE WATCH AREA ARE ADVISED
