Cal Fire / State Parks Control Burn at Prairie City OHV Park from May 29-May 31. 
Firefighters from Cal Fire, the City of Folsom and surrounding agencies are assisting California State Parks with a prescribe fire of approximately 100 acres of grassland at the Prairie City OHV Park south of the City. The purpose of the prescribe fire is to eliminate noxious Medusa head weeds and increase fire protection at the OHV Park. The burn project begins today and goes through Friday, May 31, 2013. Folsom residents and visitors may observe and smell smoke from this project.
