TRAFFIC ADVISORY:

On Saturday, June 1, 2013, a planned demonstration will occur near the Reece Road gate of Fort George G. Meade that may impact traffic along Route 175. The event will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

While the event is on Fort George G. Meade property, the Anne Arundel County Police Department will provide traffic control should the event impact traffic on Route 175. The State Highway Administration will be on site to provide assistance to detoured motorists. Motorists traveling Eastbound on Route 175 may encounter a detour around Fort Meade using surrounding roadways to Route 170, Route 32 and then back to Route 175.

Motorists traveling westbound on Route 175 may encounter a detour around Fort Meade using surrounding roadways using Blue Water Boulevard, Reece Road and then back to Route 175. The Anne Arundel County Police Department understands that Route 175 is a major thoroughfare through Anne County. Therefore, we will work diligently to prevent avoidable traffic delays during the event.
