On June 3, 2013, at approximately 11:22 p.m., officers from the Western District responded to the 200 block of Langdon Farms Circle in Odenton for a burglary in progress.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 39-year-old female victim, who reported that two suspects forced entry into her house and one suspect assaulted her. The victim indicated that she was inside of her residence, heard a noise and was approached by one of the suspects. One suspect punched the victim and knocked her down the stairs. The suspects took an item from the home belonging to the victim and fled the residence on foot. A lookout was given providing a suspect description. Several officers responded and canvassed the area for the suspects.

One suspect, Brandon Anthony Mcilwain, 22, of 124 Leeds Creek Circle in Odenton, Maryland, was located a few blocks away. Mcilwain was identified as the suspect who punched the victim. Mcilwain was subsequently charged with burglary and assault-related charges. The victim was transported to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for treatment.
