Riley Fire Department is in the process of being re-evaluated by the insurance services organization (ISO) who establishes the community’s fire protection rating. Our community’s protection rating must be re-evaluated every 10 to 15 years and our last rating was done in 2001. Our goal in the process is to at least maintain our current rating but strive to improve it. As part of this process we must perform drills with our own apparatus and personnel as well as our neighboring departments that provide assistance to our community during emergencies.

During the month of June and July we will be performing those drills throughout the community and we want to notify all of our citizens that you may see increased fire department activity during these next two months while we prepare to improve our community’s insurance rating.
