The Johnson County Sheriff's Office is investigating 2 daytime rural burglaries in the North East part of Johnson County. The first occurred in the 3000 Block of 700 East on Friday May 31st. The second occurred in the 6000 Block of East 175 North on Tuesday June 4th. In one of the burglaries a white Dodge full size older truck with a rusted or discolored front wheel was observed at the victims residence.
Shelby County is also experiencing similar burglaries near our county line. Please be aware that Burglars often knock on doors to see if anyone is home. If they are at home they will often ask for directions or make up a name that they are looking for. If this happens we would like to be notified immediately with a vehicle description.
