Be alert for suspicious activity or persons in residential neighborhoods in Jefferson Hills. 
The Jefferson Hills Police Department (JHPD) reports responding to five residential burglaries since May 1, which is a spike from the approximately one per month the JHPD responded to in the prior months in 2013. Investigation reveals similarities with each of these recent burglaries to include, the homes were unoccupied at the time and they occurred during daylight hours. If suspicious activity or persons are observed, DO NOT CONFRONT but instead be good observers and immediately call 911 for police response and further investigation.
