Reports of stolen catalytic converters in the Condos of Avondale. No known suspects. 
AEPD has responded to two reports of stolen catalytic converters in the Condos of Avondale. The thefts likely occurred overnight and were taken from automobiles in their parking areas. For the layperson, the converters are part of the exhaust system and are located on the undercarriage of a vehicle. The part is often stolen because it often contains a very small amound of a precious metal. Anyone witnessing suspicious activity around automobiles (or anywhere else) is urged to call 911 immediately
