FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WAKEFIELD HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WATCH FOR NORFOLK FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING.

A FLOOD WATCH MEANS THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ONCURRENT FORECASTS.

HEAVY RAINFALL ASSOCIATED WITH TROPICAL STORM ANDREA WILL BRING THE POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING BASED ON CURRENT FORECASTS. TOTAL PRECIPITATION DURING THE EVENT IS EXPECTED TO REACH 2 TO OVER 3 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HEAVIER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL MAY CAUSE OVERFLOWING OF LOW LYING ROADS. DO NOT DRIVE INTO FLOOD WATERS.
