Two suspects arrested after drug investigation for Cocaine distribution
On June 7th, 2013, the Nash County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Rocky Mount Police Department and North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation arrested two men for cocaine distribution. Robert Toboris Lewis was charged with multiple drug charges after a month long investigation resulted in the seizure of 652 grams of powder cocaine and 23 grams of crack cocaine from Lewis’ residence at 266 Lee St. Apt. 14 Rocky Mount, NC. This seizure was the result of a search warrant issued for the residence where authorities also seized more than $4,600 in US Currency and drug paraphernalia. Robert Lewis’ brother, William Joseph Lewis, was also charged with conspiracy to sell cocaine during the investigation.
The brothers will both have their first appearance on June 11th, 2013. Robert Lewis was issued a $300,000.00 secured bond and William Lewis is being held on a $2,000.00 secured bond. The estimated street value of the seized narcotics is more than $90,000.
