Bacteria levels are back to normal in cove creek form station 19 to station 16.
An estimated 1,000 gallons of wastewater overflowed from a manhole located on Back Street due to the recent heavy rain events.
Sullivan’s Island Water and Sewer Department (SIWSD) crews used a large vacuum truck to clean the area. SIWSD has also been collected samples in cove creek and reported the Bacteria levels to the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
