Detectives from South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station are investigating a hate crime that occurred early Sunday morning in the 2100 block of West 108th Street, unincorporated Los Angeles.
The victim, a 28 year old male, awoke to find that someone had significantly vandalized his vehicle by smashing out the windows and flattening the tires. Additionally, the victim said the suspects etched the word “gay” on the sides and roof of the vehicle. The vehicle was parked on the street in front of the victim’s house when this incident occurred.
Because of their unique impact on victims as well as the community, hate crimes and hate incidents are major issues for South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station. As such, this crime will be aggressively investigated in an effort to bring those responsible to justice.
