24-year-old driver killed in North Hollywood traffic collision.
The Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Traffic Detectives are investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred on June 19, 2013 at 2:15 p.m., on Lankershim Boulevard and Camarillo Street.
The collision occurred when the driver of a 2004 Toyota Highlander, driving northbound on Lankershim Boulevard, collided with a 2008 Acura TSX, westbound on Camarillo Street. The Highlander lost control and collided into a 2008 Chevy Tahoe. The Tahoe was stopped facing southbound at a red-light on Lankershim Boulevard.
Injured parties from all three vehicles were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The driver of the Highlander, a 24-year-old resident of Van Nuys, was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles City Fire Department Personnel.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
